This tiny, grass-like plant grows in wet meadows and moist prairies. It does well on sandy, loamy or peaty soils, prefering calcareous rather than acidic conditions. It can be interplanted with taller plants, but make sure it gets plenty of sun. A beautiful spring-blooming plant.
